Hi, I am Debbie Kimbrough. I am a native of Louisiana, and a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a degree in Elementary Education. The 2017-2018 school year will be my fifteenth year teaching wonderful second graders at Lowcountry Prep and my twenty-ninth year teaching in private and parochial schools in Louisiana, North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina.
My husband and I live in his native city, Georgetown. We have one daughter who lives in Columbia with our son-in-law and two precious grandsons. We love the Lowcountry and are avid Gamecock fans.
My mission is to provide children with a safe and happy environment where learning is a daily enjoyable experience. Meeting the needs of students, as well as providing enrichment opportunities for them, has always been a goal of mine.
The second grade at Lowcountry Prep is known as the Happy Face class.
Homework is given Monday through Thursday. It mainly consists of review and practice of skills taught each day.
A Homework folder and Daily Planner will be provided for each student.
Second graders are expected to read 15 minutes per night.
Projects are assigned at intervals throughout the year in Social Studies, Science, and Language Arts.
