About the Teacher

Mrs. Kristi Rhoades

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Coastal Carolina University in 2007. I have taught as a pre-kindergarten teacher at Belin Creative Learning Center and I have been a substitute for Horry County Schools.  This is my fourth year teaching at Lowcountry Preparatory School and I could not be more excited to be here!

Besides teaching, I love to travel and have been to several countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.  I have also traveled cross country as well as camped up and down the east coast several times.  I truly enjoy the performing arts and try to participate in them as much as possible.  I am fluent in the flow arts such as hula hooping, contact staff, and levitation wand.  I have also dabbled in stilt walking, balloon making and face painting.  I love to try anything new and fun that encourages me to be more creative!

My favorite thing to do is spending time with my family.  I have a wonderful prince charming named Mr. Rhoades and 2 beautiful big dogs (a dingo and a wolf mix).  I also have a sweet heart of a nephew and a beautiful niece that I cannot get enough of.  I couldn’t be happier! I feel extremely blessed to have all the love and support that I have in my life and truly appreciate the people around me.

I believe that I take all the happiness that surrounds me and put it into my classroom because there is nothing better than seeing the joy of learning in my class. Smiling faces, bright ideas, and a learning good time is what makes my world go round. To the moon and back with my kiddos and where ever imagination takes us!

Mrs. Hope Brode

I enjoy spending my time with my husband Rob and four year old daughter Ella.   She is my joy and amazes me everyday.  We like to listen to music, go traveling and try adventurous food.

This is my first year being an assistant teacher for Mrs. Rhoades and I truly look forward to what this  year has in store. Being around all of these sweet little souls is a blessing and I am excited everyday to learn something new from them.  As they grow and learn so do I with all of the new opportunities that Lowcountry has to offer.  I know that this will be a great year with wonderful memories to be made and experiences to cherish!  I feel blessed to be here and proud to be a part of it.
