About the Teacher

I am Lindsey Hollingsworth and this is my third year at Lowcountry Preparatory School. Originally from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, I attended Bishop England High School where I played varsity volleyball and basketball. Upon graduation, I received a scholarship to Newberry College to play volleyball and majored in Middle School Education with a focus in English Language Arts and Social Studies. Out of college, I coached and worked as a full time sub at Coastal Christian School in Mount Pleasant.

Once I moved to Pawleys Island in 2014, I taught MS English Language Arts and 6th grade South Carolina History as well as coached the JV and Varsity volleyball teams. Last year, I received the Middle School Teacher of the Year award from my colleagues and am entering my third year with just as much enthusiasm and excitement for the upcoming school year!

Outside of school, I enjoy going out on the boat, playing with my golden retriever Scout, and working out. Can’t wait to see what this school year holds!

Go Marlins!
